Some years ago, I was modeling a mother whale and her calf in a program called Ray Dream Designer.  Although the modeling options were more than sufficient for my (beginner’s) level of technical expertise, I found the environment designing (e.g., the oceanic depths) to be less than ideal.


My search for custom environments for

modeled subjects led me to KPT Bryce, which at that time was only at version 1.79.  (Currently at version 7, and no longer KPT.)   I became so immersed in the seemingly infinite variety of environmental options, and

although I occasionally used additional programs to supplement the design process.)


It was many more years before I actually returned to modeling, which I have only recently begun to dabble in once again.


It’s a captivating past-time (as is music and programming and photography.)  I wish I had more time to devote to it.  Them.  Whatever.  More examples later ...
